From our soccer family to yours, we hope you are all safe and healthy. Moving forward HYSL and its board members have decided to still hold our Spring season raffle, therefore any raffle tickets that were sold will still be in a drawing for a prize. We encourage anyone still with raffle tickets, to sell them to friends and family in order to reimburse yourself the cost of Spring registration. If you were able to sell tickets the drawing will be held Sunday, June 28, 2020. Drawing winners will be contacted via telephone to set up a time to pick up their prizes. Along with that the board will be issuing full refunds for parking passes that were purchased for spring season.
As many of you know Hanford Youth Soccer League is a non-profit organization. Our only sources of income are player registration, parking, concession and sponsorships.Registration fees cover :
Player Insurance - $15/season
Coach Background checks - $15/coach
Due to the fact that we have already incurred most of these expenses, we are sorry to inform our members that we cannot issue any cash refunds. What we CAN do is offer a 53% refund in the form of a Fall season credit of $40. If you were not able to sell tickets, you will be able to get a $40 credit for the Fall season, however ALL raffle tickets must be returned to be eligible for the $40 credit. For Fall season registration, HYSL board has decided to have two dates that will allow parents the opportunity for an in person drive thru registration, the dates and location are as follows:
270 Gilkey Lane.
Saturday June 27th from 10:00am - 12:00pm
Wednesday July 15th 6:00pm-8:00pm
We truly understand parents feeling upset with the league’s decision, but we are asking for your understanding and help during this pandemic. HYSL has not increased prices for several years now, despite the cost of operations rising, therefore it has caused somewhat of a financial strain on the league. The board has diligently tried to keep prices the same year after year in an attempt to keep as many kids as possible involved in soccer. We sincerely hope you understand what is at stake here. Thank you for your support and understanding. As the state begins to open up we are looking forward to this fall season being a complete success. Online registration is now open and can be completed at clubs.bluesombrero.com/hanford. Once again, we hope you all remain safe, happy, and healthy and we hope to see you all during this Fall soccer season
The Hanford Youth Soccer League is a volunteer, non-profit organization, 501(c)(3) whose aim is to promote and develop the sport of soccer for boys and girls in the towns of Kings County. Our philosophy is to provide an atmosphere of good sportsmanship within which the players and teams can learn, compete, and enjoy the game of soccer. However we cannot do this work alone. From individuals to corporations, foundations to grassroots organizations, Hanford Youth Soccer League seeks to foster lasting partnerships in our community. To do this we base our formula for success on training the total player. We promote good communication and a competitive spirit. We demand great grades academically, stellar sportsmanship, hard work, and determination. We emphasize the need for leadership and responsibility through personal credibility. We teach our players to solve problems both on and off the field. We encourage academics and we foster strength of character through teamwork and friendship.
